ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates who have completed 2-year Pre-University course in Karnataka or its equivalent with Business Studies and Accountancy as two major subjects of study at Pre-University Level are eligible for admission.

BBA

It is a three-year degree programme, conducted in affiliation to Bangalore University, spread over eight semesters. The students will be equipped with the fundamental skills and knowledge essential for managing key areas of organizations such as accounting, human resource management, quantitative methods, marketing, strategy, and operations management. They will be given the option to choose any one the elective topics, namely finance, marketing and human resource management, as per their areas of interest.

This programme is also supported by foundation and skill development courses like Constitution of Indian and Human Rights, Environment and Public Health, etc. to name a few. It offers practical management training that prepares students to be competent enough to successfully work within small and large organizations. English language and optional languages are taught during semesters 1 to 4.

ELIGIBILTY

The candidate should have cleared the Pre-University examination of Karnataka, Pre-University Board, an equivalent examination conducted by any other board/ Pre-University, or 10+2, with a minimum of 35% aggregate pass marks in science or arts/humanities or commerce.

BCA

It is a three-year degree programme, conducted in affiliation to Bangalore University, spread over six semesters.

The objective of this course is to enable students to excel in software development, thereby opening doors to pursuit of postgraduate programmes such as Computer Science (M.Sc CS), Information Science (M.Sc IS), Computer Applications (MCA), Information Technology (M.Sc IT), MBA, etc.

In this course, computer programming, networking, software and hardware related papers are taught through semesters 1 to 6. In addition, mathematics is taught during semesters 1 and 2. English language and optional languages are taught during semesters 1 to 4. I am not sure if this last line applies to BCA course. Roana is advised to cross check with BCA HOD)

The course covers subjects like C, C++, Java, VB, VC++, UNIX, database management system, operating system, networking, digital electronics, computer architecture, discrete mathematics, operations research, financial accounting and management, numerical and statistical methods, cryptography and network security, microprocessor and assembly language, systems programming, software engineering, data structures, web programming and theory of computation.

ELIGIBILITY

• The candidate should have cleared the Pre-University examination of Karnataka, Pre-University Board, an equivalent examination conducted by any other board/ Pre-University, or 10+2, with a minimum of 35% aggregate pass marks in science, arts or commerce.
• A candidate who has passed JODC / three-year diploma in engineering (Government of Karnataka), or any other examination considered as equivalent, with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks in all the semesters/years, shall be eligible for admission.
